Genesis Camp Suzy Beckner (18th yr. Dir.) is a member of First UCC in Shelby. She is a kindergarten teacher. Suzy is married and has two young children.
Carrie Secrest (18yrs. Exp) is a member of Brownhelm UCC.
She is a 9th-12 grade Special Education teacher and enjoys
playing soccer. Carries is married and the mother of Cayton. |

Bright Beginnings - 2nd/3rd Grade Camp Explore nature! Hike! Toast marshmallows at the campfire! Pet a snake (or just watch it wiggle)! Learn to be part of God’s loving family. Making crafts, playing games, singing, swimming, and taking part in vespers (evening worship) add up to a great first overnight camping experience at Pilgrim Hills. Grades: 2 - 3
Directors Betsy King (17th yr. Dir.) is a member of First Congregational UCC , Wellington. She has an Associate of Arts degree in Early Childhood Education. She is a preschool teacher for Head Start. Betsy has been on staff and involved with Outdoor Ministries for the past twenty years. Tara Mitchell (14th yr. Dir.) is a lifelong UCC camper who attended for 7 years and counseled for another 7 years before becoming a director. Junior Choir Camp Calling all kids who enjoy music—this exciting camp is for you! The entire camp rehearses choral selections and a Christian musical every day. Through the week, we will experience many activities, including art and drama, hand bells/chimes, exploring nature, swimming, hiking, singing around the campfire, and more! Our talented counselors/directors have lots of camping experience (many are former campers!). If you love making new friends and sharing your talents, you need to experience this fun-filled week.
Event #1105 Directors Lori Betz (7th yr. Dir.) has loved every minute of co-directing Choir Camp! She is currently a touring teacher for children in traveling Broadway productions and lives in Cincinnati in the summer time. She worked on summer staff for 5 years and has been involved with the camps for many years.
Aaron Miner
(9th yr. Dir.) holds a degree in music education from
Bowling Green State University. He is currently finishing his Master’s
degree in Public Administration at New York University. Previously, Aaron
served for six years on the Outdoor Ministries summer staff. |

Tim Fitch
(1st year Dir.) is the Minister of Family Life at First
Congregation Church of Akron. He has been working with kids of all ages
for the last 18 years, 7 of them as a minister. He has four of
children, including one with Asperger's Syndrome. He has had experience
as a teacher at Camp Pyro in Minnesota and is looking forward to this
opportunity to get to know the campers. |

Love the Pool Camp A fun-filled camp for anyone who likes the pool. There will be classes to teach you to swim or to swim better. You’ll swim 2-4 times each day, so there will be more pool free time than classes. You’ll share regular camp activities — games, crafts and nature times. And prepare to love God and people more than the pool! Event #2109
Richard Beck (6+ yr. dir.) is pastor of Grace UCC, Uniontown, Ohio. He and his wife Marlene are proud parents of two grown daughters including “Otter Camp” Julie and a son in college. He enjoys singing camp songs and evening lullabies when helpful. A former competitive swimmer, Dick is a Water Safety Instructor. In January and February he is swimming 21 miles at his local YMCA for an English Channel swim. But to him loving God is far more important than swimming.

Bruce Jamison is a member of the Pleasant Hill UCC and currently serves as SONKA moderator. He is a Deputy Chief of Police in Piqua. During his career in Piqua he served as an Evidence Technician and spent ten years as a detective specializing in crimes against children. |

Directors Sarah Ambrose (6th yr. Dir.) is a full-time elementary general music teacher for Dover City Schools at Dover South Elementary. She obtained a Bachelor’s of Music in Music Education from Heidelberg College in 2003. Sarah was a UCC camper for more than 7 years and worked on the Outdoor Ministries summer staff in 2002. She is an active member of Richville UCC where she teaches the high school Sunday School Class, sings in the choir, rings in the Handbell Choir, a member of the Christian Education Committee, and directs the Children’s Christmas Program.
Sarah Zecchini (3rd yr. Dir.) has been involved in various choirs, bands, and show choirs in high school and college. She was a UCC camper for over 5 years and worked on the Outdoor Ministries summer staff for two fabulous summers. This will be her 6th summer volunteering with Junior MMADD. Sarah received two Associate degrees in 2005 from Sinclair College and is working on her Bachelor’s in Sociology at Miami university of Ohio.
